Primary Use: Creating a Safe Access Bridge
Its core function is to bridge the gap (typically between 300mm to 600mm) between the top surfaces of two adjacent containers that are stacked on the same level.

Position the Containers: Ensure the two containers are correctly positioned on the same level. Their corner castings should be aligned as closely as possible.

Inspect the Bridge Fitting: Before use, visually inspect the bridge fitting for any signs of damage, such as cracks, severe corrosion, or bent components. Check that the hinge pins are secure and the locking mechanism operates correctly.

Release the Locking Mechanism: The bridge is stored vertically, locked against the container’s side. Locate and release the locking pin or lever that secures it in the upright (stowed) position.

Align and Position: Guide the bridge so that its far end lands squarely and securely on the corner casting or the dedicated landing area of the adjacent container.

Tug Test: Physically test the security of the bridge by applying downward pressure and attempting to move it to confirm it is locked in place and stable.

Secure the Lock: Re-engage the locking pin or lever to securely fasten it against the side of the container for transport or storage.
